The New Member Committee is happy to welcome Nikki Kemp and Amber Stenman to Local 3657. Both will be working in the organizing department. You can find out more about them by reading the bios below. If you see them around, please give them a warm welcome to our local union!

Nikki Kemp
About Nikki: I’m currently working in Organizing on the Pitt Faculty Campaign. I’ve worked with fast food and health care workers to build the Fight for $15 in Pittsburgh, Philly and across the country. I’ve worked with SEIU Healthcare PA and 32BJ union members to strengthen their chapters and have done work with Planned Parenthood. I’ve been a letter carrier, bartender, and some things in between. Other than that I like to run and box.

Amber Stenman
About Amber: Hello, brothers and sisters! I’m Amber and have spent most of my adult life in the helping professions, ultimately leading to the labor movement when I realized the only true way to lift people up is lifting them out of poverty and helping them find their own voice. My path to getting here included earning a Sociology degree at IUP, a master’s of Social and Public Policy at Duquesne, and years or experience organizing healthcare workers. I couldn’t be more excited to put my experience to work at the USW!
