On Thursday, February 14, 2013, we would like our WOS and all local 3657 staff to wear red and black to bring awareness to two causes, Go Red for Women (red), which creates an awareness around heart disease in women, and One Billion Rising (red and black), a global movement that raises awareness and combats violence against women.
We will take a group picture for the website walk to Market Square to support the Pittsburgh-area One Billion Rising event. This year’s local One Billion Rising event will be in honor of Ka’Sandra Wade, a woman who lost her life as a result of domestic violence.
If you would like to participate in the field, please take a photo and email it in to Mollie Relihan. We will make sure that your photos are uploaded to the website, as well.
